Improving Speed of Index and Match Functions

    Hi,

This is only a problem that has started in Excel 2007 and 2010, in 2003 the below works fine.

I am using a INDEX and MATCH function to extract values from an array. The problem is that sometimes I have to look up a number, in 2007 and 2010 whenever excel has to look up at number it goes extremely slowly. 2003 had no problems using the INDEX and MATCH function to lookup numbers.

My question is how could I edit my function:

So that it greatly improves the speed in excel 2007 and 2010. I am aware of the bugs in load times and calculation times in 2007 and 2010 however I'm hoping there will be a workaround somewhere!

    Thanks in advance.

    Kind Regards,
    Harry
