    How to calculate the weightage using 3 parameters

    I am not able to figure out a formula for calculating the weightage of a value depending on 3 parameters . Attached is the problem .. Kindly help me out ....

    Using XL2003 a quick means of doing this (avoiding [inefficient] SUMPRODUCT etc)

    Thanks for the reply .. Actually I am using excel 2003 in office where I need this .... but using 2007 at home so posted in wrong forum ...

    E2:
    =$D2/SUMIF($F:$F,$F2,$D:$D)

    The formula for excel 2003 is not working ... can u give me the details ...

    All the information you require (based on sample & question) has been provided.
    If you are unable to get the 2003 suggestion to work post a further sample with prior suggestions in place.

    I am a newbie to excel ... I have given a data till column D but the formula you have given for 2003 includes column F and when am typing that formula it is giving error ... So only i asked ... the formula for 2007 is working fine ... do correct me if am wrong ...

    I took that there were 2 different formulas but didn't checked that both were to be used together ... Thanks for your help ... now my query is resolved ...
