    movie database

    Hi there

I have been developing my movie database for several years as a way to keep track of what movies I see and what i thought of them.

My question is embarrassingly simple for an expert but despite trying to Google an answer I am stuck. Thanks in advance for any help

Here's my structure on the first sheet

    Column A - Title
Column B - Length in minutes
Column C - Year of release
    Column G - Rating out of 10 - 0 = Unseen

On a separate sheet I want to create a table that for each year showing the amount of films, released and the amount I have not seen

Released is easy as I used Countif and then the year

Unseen has me stuck because I need to countif the film was released in a specific year and the score in column G=0

    Sorry to be so stupid.

    Re: movie database

To best describe or illustrate your problem you would be better off attaching a dummy workbook, the workbook should contain the same structure and some dummy data of the same type as the type you have in your real workbook - so, if a cell contains numbers & letters in this format abc-123 then that should be reflected in the dummy workbook.

If needed supply a before and after sheet in the workbook so the person helping you can see what you are trying to achieve.

Doing this will ensure you get the result you need!

    Dave

Thanks for the quick reply. I'm new here and di not see the workbook attachment thing

I have created a small 'dummy" version of my workbook

I can't see the management attachement thing in the rules. Very frustrating.
