    COUNTIF Question

I have a worksheet that contain information arranged in rows.

I have a column that is titled "Code".

The code is a classification for the information entered in the row. The classification can contain more than 1 code.

I'm trying to use COUNTIF, but the totals are incorrect, as the formula is not counting the cells that contain more than 1 code.

    =COUNTIF('NAD INFO'!$B:$B,P5)
    I've also tried

    =COUNTIF('NAD INFO'!$B:$B,"*"&P5&"*")
Which results in too many observations being counted.

Can I use COUNTIF to count the entries if there is more than 1 code?

    Re: COUNTIF Question

What's in P5? What sort of entries do you have in 'NAD INFO'!$B:$B?
