    Re: Help!

We're happy to help with what appears to be homework...but you need to post the approaches you tried and the formula(s) you tried.

    Re: Help!

Your post does not comply with Rule 1 of our Forum RULES. Your post title should accurately and concisely describe your problem, not your anticipated solution. Use terms appropriate to a Google search. Poor thread titles, like Please Help, Urgent, Need Help, Formula Problem, Code Problem, and Need Advice will be addressed according to the OP's experience in the forum: If you have less than 10 posts, expect (and respond to) a request to change your thread title. If you have 10 or more posts, expect your post to be locked, so you can start a new thread with an appropriate title.
To change a Title on your post, click EDIT then Go Advanced and change your title, if 2 days have passed ask a moderator to do it for you.

We aren't happy to help with homework if you can't be bothered to read the Forum Rules
    Hope that helps.

    Hlookup Help Title Correction

    1--Title correction for Forum rules.

    2--My apologies in first post.

3--The approaches I tried only returned the 55555 and date and were not dynamic and accomplished both.

    4--=HLOOKUP(The date,'Data,1,FALSE)

Since you're new to the forum and having a bit of difficulty figuring out what to fix and where...I adjusted the title of the main post for you.

Wow..all the time it took to correct a title, --which is in this exact thread on this post---the Marines coulda re-taken Iwo Jima.

I have another question, but I think I'll hire a English professor first.

    Wow...

    Re: HLOOKUP Help

I don't know how it could be explained any better.

"To change a Title on your post, click EDIT then Go Advanced and change your title, if 2 days have passed ask a moderator to do it for you."

    and

"change the title of the original question."

    What exactly is not clear?
