Sum of a specific item into another column

Okay here is what I am trying to acomplish and not sure if I am approaching it the right way.

    Attached is a sample file

I want the total columns to look something like this but not sure how to do it:

I know that the formula I have is wrong but not sure how else to do it, not really sure on how to use the vlookup function so I am not sure it that is a way to acomplish this or not.

And I know that this data is easy to just look and see what my answer is but I am doing this with
+/-1000 rows of data so I really need some way to automate this.

Thanks in advance for any help you guys can offer me.
