How to make a dropdown list that is more advanced

How to make a dropdown list that has more features

how to make a dropdown list where I can still type part of the words and then it will suggest/autofill for me possible words from the list that I already created for the dropdown list.

Also, when I type part of the word, for example "AP", then I scroll down the list, only words that begin with AP appears in the dropdown list.

for more detailed explanations, pls take a look at the sample worksheet.

    thanks

You will need a combo box to achieve that. Data validation drop down lists do not offer any kind of type ahead or intellisense.

Combo boxes require a bit more of preparation and processing, though, and are not suitable to be put into each row of a large data table.

If you want a kind of intellisense in a large table, then use a range directly above the table and enter the possible values, one value in each row, in the same column. Hide the rows. Then you can start typing in the value in a cell below in the same column. As soon as Excel can identify a unique value, it will offer it as a type-ahead value in the cell. This will not give you an option of several values to choose from, though.
