Pick a cell containing current month actulas based what the current month is.

Hi guys,

I am looking for a formula in Q4 (see the attached file) tha would automotically let me know what the current month's numbers are. So let's say, we are currently in fiscal year month 5, I would want cell Q4 to show 800. I know how to do this with lookup and also index/match but is there a neater way with another formula? For example, YTD as a sum(offset...) for picking up YTD. Is there anything similar for MTD? Thanks much.

How did you arrive at 800?

I am sorry Robert, forgot to save the file with 800 under the month of Nov (month 5 under FY calendar). Let's say, if you changed the current month (cell R1) to value 4 (October), you would want to to see 1,150 in MTD cell Q4.

=INDEX($C$4:$N$4,R1)
