    Exclamation Removing blank workbook

I'm looking to overwrite the 'Blank Workbook' within Excel 2007 with a template that I've created. I've created this default template within the C:\Program Files which opens whenever I open a new workbook or if I use Ctrl N.

However, when I go to File > New, i still have the option to select the 'Blank Workbook' which gets rid of all the formatting etc that I defaulted in. How can I remove the option to select 'Blank Workbook'? I only want to be able to open the template I created.

I'm pretty sure you used to be able to do this with previous versions of Excel because I seem to remember doing this in the past.

Preferably i'd like the solution to be macro free

    Thanks
    Sanya

Another option would be to change the Blank Workbook's default template to yours, this link may help

    Re: Removing blank workbook

Thanks for that suggestion. I've already made a default template which opens every time you launch excel and press ctrl N but the problem is when you go to the office button and then 'New', you are still able to select a 'blank workbook' over the default I created which means whatever I've customized isn't in the 'blank workbook'.

Is there a way to remove the option to open a blank workbook? I can't see it saved in any file path for me to delete it :S

Did you figure out a solution to your problem. In that case, I would love to hear about it.
