    Exclamation Excel problem, interval

    Hello

I have a little problem. I have to write a worksheet that allow us to calculate the cost of hospital fees for a person depending on her age. I am given a table that shows how much is the fee for each age. I guess I have to use a Vlookup function.

    Exemple:

    Age Fees

    0 to 5 20$
    5 to 20 50$
    20 to 45 200 $

So you have to enter an age and my worksheet must give you the correct fees. But how do I write From 20 to 45 years in a excel formula in order to Vlookup to find it and read it as an interval ?

    Tks a lot.

See attached. I used the true statement to get an answer less than the next level if not exact.

Hi Mouchoirsblancs and welcome to the forum.

You need to create a VLookup table that has your age ranges. Then use VLookup with a TRUE as the last argument to do approximate returns. Find the attached with your answer. Let me know if you need more.
