A function to sum values based on font color?

I've been getting frustrated by not being able to sum values based on font color. I can filter them and use the subtotal function but using the subtotal function isn't always practical for all times. I need a way to sum values based on font color...*not* the fill color of the cell. Is there a way to do this?

Say I have a column and I arbitrarily change the font color of the values in that column. I want to sum just those values by font color but I'm finding it impossible to do this. I've tried some of the macros that allowed you to do this but for some reason they're not working. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
