Using Frequency Function

    Smile Using Frequency Function

    Hi all,

    I am working on excel 2007 with large data.
    The data is in floating point format and also contains both negative and positive values.
    I have to develop a frequency distribution table for this data. I have used the FREQUENCY() function in the excel, but not getting the exact result.

    Can Any1 help me to solve this issue;

    I have caluclated few things;
    total observation: 457
    No of classes : 9
    highest value: 7.69
    lowest value: -5.59
    class width: 1.50
    Bins_data: -4.09, -2.59, -1.09, 0.39, 1.89, 3.39, 4.89, 6.39, 7.89

    Hello
    Could you explain further on the issue you are having? I've tried the Frequency Function on the data array you've posted and it seems to return the correct results based on your Bins data. It returns the following numbers: 8;16;66;165;152;39;7;3 and 1 for the respective classes. Is this not the result you were expecting?
