Adding field to calculate sum of a field and count of a field in pivot table

    Hi all

I have set up a pivot table, which shows the count of one field and the sum of another. My aim is to add a further column which will divide one by the other. I have tried to do this using the calculation field function, but it only allows me to divide the original fields, not the count and sum I have created in the values area of the table.

I have attached the table below. I would like the extra field to divide sum of runners by count of races.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Gemma,

Do you only want the pivot intercalculations or some external referenced formula would be fine like GetPivot ... ?

Sorry for delay in replying I have had internet connection problems.

I will be looking at alot of different data within this pivot table. Sometimes the pivot table will appear small, other times it will be very large. I would like it so that when I refresh and filter out what I want to look at the end column of average runners will refresh with it. At the minute I have a formula next to the table to get this data but it doesnt look pretty and I would prefer it within the table.

As for your question I am not familiar with the GetPivot formula sorry, but if it does the same as intercalculations I would be happy with it.

    Thanks
    Gemma

In looking at my pivot table I have actually used a getpivot formula for what I currently have. Is there any way of getting intercalculations within a pivot table?
