Using radio buttons on a locked sheet.

    Hi all,
I have found that the only way I can use radio buttons on a locked sheet is to unlock the "Cell link" cell.
I am trying to stay clear of VBA for locking and unlocking this cell when the radio button is selected.
Am I missing something right in front of me?
Is there a simple way around this?
    Thank you

    Hi Pike

Yes I have unlocked the option button for the radio buttons.
The radio buttons appear to only work when the "cell link" cell has been unlocked.
When I lock the "cell link" cell, the radio buttons don't work.
Is it necessary to have the "cell link" cell unlocked?

Re: Using radio buttons on a locked sheet.

I could but my question is more based on locking the "cell link" cell and stopping someone accessing it.
Putting it in cell z1 would mean that the user could accidentally tab to it when the option is selected (select unlocked cells) when protecting the sheet.
And on another sheet? On its own? This seems unnecessary to me..
Thank you for your suggestions Pike, do you have any more with my requirements?

The Type of control can be changed to form then handled in vba

Re: Using radio buttons on a locked sheet.

..but as in my original post.. I am trying to stay away from VBA.
This to me sounds like it should be really simple. I'm starting to think that radio buttons can't work with a locked sheet unless VBA is involved. Is this true?
Do you or does anyone else have anymore input/solutions for my problem?

    @pike or anyone..
It looks like I'll have to build more brain pathways and learn VBA.
Can someone help me with my problem using VBA?
