    Turns hours in serial number

    Hi
    To obtain the serial number of a number of hours.
    Ex: 70:30 = 2.9375

    Just have a cell equal to the one holding the hour value and format it as General.

    I don't know what you're trying to do.
    The serial number for 1 hour is 1/24 so the formula for any time value would be Hours/24 or in your sample 70.5/24
    Is that what you mean?

    If A1 = 70:30 how would the calculation in B2?

    In B2 you would have:
    =A1
    and formatted as General
    If you want a formula it would be:
    =A1*1
    and formatted as General
