I want to change the text color of a row based on the initials of a salesperson. Example: the row that JH sold to be Brown, row that AGW sold to be Purple, row that DAB sold to be Blue, ect. Is there a way to do this. Thanks

when you invoke conditional formatting, choose Use a formula to determine which cells to format.. then in the formula, anchor the column that the check value is in so all cells in the row point to it.
e.g.
If the data is in A1:D50, and the names are in A1:A50, then select the whole range, invoke conditional formatting as above, enter formula like: =$A1="JH" then click Format and choose from Font tab. Click Ok, then click New Rule and continue on...
Where there is a will there are many ways.
