Formula to count Unique text based on multiple criteria

    Hello,

I have a large database (extract attached) where I need to sum/count various criteria (Sum of Premium, Sum of Commision, Count of Polices and Count of Clients) the first three of these I have no problem with, however I am struggling to find a formula that counts the number of unique values within the specified criteria.

    Any help gratefully appreciated.

    Thanks

Thanks that works fine - however, when I copy the code across to the actual spread sheet I get a message saying "The specified formulas cannot be used because it uses more levels of nesting than is required in the current file format". I tried to change from an "Excel 2003-2007" file to an "Excel Workbook" as you had but as I have Macro's in the work book so I could not save it. When I tried it as an Excel Macro Enabled Workbook I get the same message as above - do you know how to get around this?

    Appreciater your assistance
