    Combining two COUNTIFS

    Hi, New to this forum.

I'm having a problem combining two equations in a COUNTIFS formula. I have a list of data reflecting when residents arrive and from the residence hall I work in & the room numbers they are living in. I am trying to use COUNTIFS to show the number of beds that are occupied in a given room reflective of the current date. I have two equations that work on their own =COUNTIF(K1:K3000, "=111") where 111 is the room number and =COUNTIF(N1:N3000, ">="&A2) where A2 contains the current date.

The range K1:K3000 are room numbers & N1:N3000 are the dates of departure for the students. I am trying to make this count how many people are still in each room with =COUNTIFS(K1:K3000, "=111", N1:N3000, ">="&A2).....but it's not working.

    Help!

    Thanks!!

    Re: Combining two COUNTIFS

Hello & Welcome to the Forum,

I see your profile says 2003 and if this is so, COUNTIFS would not work as it is only for 2007+

If you do actually have 2007+, this works for me...

If you are using 2003, try...
