Removing Two Highest Values, Columns not in order

I am trying to workout a worksheet for a British Open Game. The Rules are you pick 6 players, but you only take the best 4. I was able to work out the 1st player because his picks are all in order so it is =(SUM(SMALL(F2:F7,{1,2,3,4}))) but the second player has picks in cells f2:f4 and f8:f10. It comes up error when I try to select them. Please help. Thank you.

If you create a named range consisting of the two ranges, F2:F4 and F8:F10 and give that a name, like List1, then

    =(SUM(SMALL(LIST1,{1,2,3,4})))

    would work.
Where there is a will there are many ways.

I must be reading this incorrectly ...

I'll post it as it's done now.

I'm assuming that the names in the game/competition are in H23:H27.
In Column G are the individual choices of 6 players, I changed this to use the first 2 letters of the individual names.
    In I23 this array formula
    Formula: copy to clipboard
