    Smile splitting data

    hi

    i have large data that contain invoice no (in numeric & alphanumeric) and date of invoice in single cell. i want to separate the same in two cell. pl. help me.

    Are the invoice number and date separated by a space, dash or something else unique? If so you can use the text to columns function in the Data tab. Highlight your column before you hit the button and then specify what symbol separates the invoice number and date, then press finish.
