make cell in sheet2l = max columns from sheet1

I'm between new to moderate with my ability to use functions in excel....probably means I'm a newbie to most.

So I'm trying to find a way to make a cell in sheet2 = my maximum column that I have data entered from sheet1.

Any help would be wonderful

I apologize I meant my maximum row, not column.

Modify zbor's formula to

=LOOKUP(2,1/(Sheet1!A:A<>""),ROW(A:A))

Based on your last post it seems that you are satisfied with the solution(s) you've received but you haven't marked your thread as SOLVED.
