Question How to split dates into smaller time periods

Hi there, I have a problem in excel and I'm hoping there's a way to automate the process using a formula. I have two excel spreadsheets, where for the first one there is 2 columns that contain a date and a value for each date, and for the second spreadsheet I only have the dates. What I'm trying to do is compress the values into larger time periods, from the first spreadsheet into the second. I created the second one from scratch with the time periods that I want. I would like to find out if it is possible to use a formula or a macro to take a fixed number of days from the more detailed spreadsheet, and add them up along with the value for each time period. I will link a screenshot in order to explain myself better, I hope someone can guide me in the right direction here or I will be forced to manually add it all up by myself. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Maybe I'm missing something, but how does this involve Word?

Hello havocexe, and welcome to the forum.

Please be careful to post your questions in the most appropriate forum. As this is clearly an Excel question (as opposed to Word) I have moved the thread for you.

My mistake, I didn't notice I was in the Word forum.
