IF Statement Excel Help- New Member

Hello, im new to the forum and looking for some help on something im working on.

Im trying to figure out how to make H2=$95 flat fee for any hours (F2) between 3.5-4 hour range + $28/hour for any hours over the 4 hours.

This might be simple to some of you on here so hopefully you can help!

    bhandley,

    Welcome to the forum!
What should the result be if F2 is below 3.5 hours?
Also, how is F2 formatted? Does it contain an Excel Date/Time code that is formatted as [h]:mm? Or is it a number that just shows 3.5, 4, etc?
    Hope that helps,
    ~tigeravatar

If its below 3.5 it needs to be $28/hour. F2 is just in number format (ex. 3.75 hours).

    Hope this helps!

Re: IF Statement Excel Help- New Member

Tiger..it works! you sir are brilliant. Also thank you ChesireCat, i dont know if yours works as well but thank you

Now it gets a little more challenging though, i have this equation "=IF(A2=1,28,IF(A2=2,32,IF(A2=3,60)))", so that if A2 is 1,2 or 3 the rates change (F2) from 28 for #1, 32 for #2 and 45 for #3.

Also, the same equation Tiger supplied will be need for those where #2= $115 (F2) for 3.5-4 hours, #3=165 for 3.5-4 hours (all the same as Tigers equation but with different amounts)

Lastly, if #1, #2, or #3 hit 8 hours in (F2) then cost is a flat fee of $185, $205, and $275 respectively.

I know this is complicated now but any help is very appreciated. I will answer any questions about it to my best ability and i can provide the spreadsheet if anybody needs to look at it.
