how to copy a formulated cell to another work book

    Hi there everyone!

how can I copy a work sheet that is a result of a formulated work sheet (within the same file) to another work book?

I tried using the ordinary copy and paste and all I got is #REF!. and If I try the paste special (values)I got the dialogue box that says: "This operation requires the merged cells to be identically sized".

To give you an overview on what am doing so far.
    1. I collect daily attendance from different areas that consist of executive, mid_manager and regular. Each file has a multiple sheets with a corresponding initial reports (i.e. executive; mid_manager; and regular).
    2. Then I consolidate all the initial reports to another file as my final report.

Number 2 is my question, is this doable, even in non-VB?

In case you are using OFFSET, INDIRECT etc. formulae to define ranges, the copy paste might not work.

Paste special values will not work with merged cells. Avoid merged cells as it play havoc with Excel formulae, ranges etc. If you need to merge for cosmetic reasons, format cells as 'Center across selection' alignment!

Uploading a sample will prove insightful
    Life's a spreadsheet, Excel!

    Hi thanks for the response.

Here's the sample file. The last 3 sheets (i.e. final executive; final mid_manager; and final regular) is supposedly in a different file that contains the initial reports of the executive; mid_manager and regular. And this initial reports consists of individual time sheet of employees. The reports are multiple and coming from different areas. (sorry but can anyone help me i can't find the attach button??)

    Thanks
