I think this is rather more complicated than many of the youtube training videos can account for.
(trying to keep this post nonpartisan) I need to extract the household data on a voter file where if one of the people is lets say a democrat, I need to ignore that household all together. I want to keep the rest of the data, but I need to exclude every household where a democrat is registered even if there are republicans and non partisans living there. The file is set up so the address format is congurent throughout. I figure that is what the data is sorted against.
Finally, once this is completed, I need to create a file that is a 'single household' file. THis would be one voter record of one household whether one person lives there or fifty. So, I need to consolidate duplicate records into one. I don't know if that means I remove duplicate addresses and then delete those records with no addresses listed?
Please advise! Example is attached (data included is public record voter file data, about 100 lines worth) Thanks, testduplicatedata.xlsx
