    Help with a SUBSTITUTE formula...

I want to create a SUB formula that results a particular cell that happens to be blank with the number 0. This is what I thought would work: =SUBSTITUTE(I2, "", "0"). It doesn't work....please help. Has to be something simple. Thanks!!

    Chris,

Have you tried something like =IF(E31="",0,E31), or does that not work for you for some reason? From your explanation it seems you may be wanting to change the cell the value is actually in. Can't do that with a simple cell formula.
