I need only selected data from column A in sheet 2 to be transferred to sheet 1 and then sorted by salesman name.

In Column A if it says "GSM" then only those rows be transferred to sheet 1 and then sorted by salesman name.

I have tried VLOOKUP and A andif but will not work.

Re: HELP!!! Need to pull certain data from a worksheet and then auto sort it on to another

I looked at sheet2 column A and there is no GSM entry. however, the vlookup function works as follows...

=VLOOKUP(what-you-want-to-find,range-to-search-in,column-that-contains-the-match,FALSE) FALSE is for finding an exact match

so, for instance, if you were looking up "Enterprise", the formula would be
    =VLOOKUP("Enterprise",Sheet2!$A$3:$Q$18,1,FALSE)
however, keep in mind that a vlookup will ONLY return the 1st instance of what it is looking for. any further instances will not be returned
