    Average Excel Formula

I'm kinda new to Excel and I'm trying to find out the average of a certain criteria on my spreadsheet. I'm trying to find the average age of Males. Lets say ages are cells D1:D25 and gender is in cells A1:A25.

    Re: Average Excel Formula

    try this one..
    =IFERROR(AVERAGEIF(A1:A25,"=male",D1:D25),"")

    or with reference

cell C1 holds a type of gender say C1=male

    =IFERROR(AVERAGEIF(A1:A25,"="&C1,D1:D25),"")
I think people forget the word "THANK YOU!!!!" Do you still know it???
