MIN bid of a group member

I am trying to figure out how to write a formula that returns the MIN bid. The catch is that I have bids from 40 different bidders. I want to take the minimum bid of a specific group of 10 of those bidders. So, A, B, C, D, E, F, G each submitted bids, but I want to return the MIN bid from C, E, and G. I am not properly writing the formula (which I assume will be an array with a MIN and an IF statement).

    Something like:

    =MIN(IF(ISNUMBER(MATCH(A2:A13,{"C","E","G"},0)),B2:B13))

    or

=MIN(IF(ISNUMBER(MATCH(A2:A13,$X$1:$X$10,0)),B2:B13)) if X1:X10 contains the list of criteria bidders...

either confirmed with CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER not just ENTER
Where there is a will there are many ways.
