I need help with a formula that will display the words over buget if the the difference between 2 cells is +5%
I think you have to explain more on what you want to attain, a sample of the file your working on and expected outcome.
but here goes nothing.
=if((firstcell-secondcell)=.5,"Display this word","")
the bold part says blank if it is not equal to .5 or 5%
I think people forget the word "THANK YOU!!!!" Do you still know it???
There is a little star ( ADD REPUTATION ) below those person who helped you. Click it to say your "PRIVATE APPRECIATION TO THEIR EFFORT ON THEIR CONTRIBUTIONS "
Regards,
Vladimir
if I had 45% in one cell and 40.55% in another then What I need to know is if 45% is more than 5% greater than 40.55% then display the words "over budget" if not leave blank
Hoping this makes some sense
=IF((A1-A2)>=5%,"Overbudget","")
A1 is 45%
A2 is 40.55%
i used >= you can edit that..
Thanks vlady that is great, thanks for the help
