    Calculating multiple exchange rates

New to the forum and hoping to get some help. I have a spread sheet that needs to pick up a txt value in one column(exchange rate) ie USD, EUR, AUS, CDN and then multiply a value in an adjacent column based on the exchange rate chosen; just wondering how I might accomplish this?

    Thanks

You might use some sort of lookup function. If you provide a little more information, preferably a sample workbook, you'll probably receive more specific advice...

Do you have a catalogue with exchange rates? Where in the workbook are they placed?

Then assuming $88,000 is placed in K3, then in J3 put:
    Formula: copy to clipboard

    And copy down.

    Re: Calculating multiple exchange rates

Thanks for the help but for some reason as I copy the formula down it is increasing the value of the array by the same rate its increasing the value for the column I,

This is the first row which works fine
    =INDEX(T4:T7,MATCH(I3,R4:R7,0))

This is the second row where it adds 1
    =INDEX(T5:T8,MATCH(I4,R5:R8,0))

You'll need to use $'s. They stop your arrays from changing as you copy down; like so:
    Formula: copy to clipboard
