SUMIF, SUM IF AND??? Help

Be prepared - I am not the most Excel savvy individual and the system in place is less than ideal.
My question is; can anybody see an obvious reason that this is not returning the correct total to me?

=SUM(IF(AND('R:\5410 Registers & Business Cases\Registers 12.13\[PBF NORTH Register 12.13.XLS]PBF NORTH'!$K$7:$K$4277=L3,'R:\5410 Registers & Business Cases\Registers 12.13\[PBF NORTH Register 12.13.XLS]PBF NORTH'!$AK$3:$AK$476<$I$3),'R:\5410 Registers & Business Cases\Registers 12.13\[PBF NORTH Register 12.13.XLS]PBF NORTH'!$J$3:$J$476,))

As it stands, I am having £0.00 retuned, which is completely incorrect.

I apologise for the lack of detail, Im just curious if I've made an obvious mistake.

I have input your formula and it appears to be, at least attempting to work.

I am now having #N/A returned. I am assuming this is more likely to be a fault with the data itself as opposed to the formula??

You need to array-enter it.

By array-enter you mean, pressing F2 followed by CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER?

If so, #N/A continues to show...

what is the logic? you are using rows 7 to 4277 in the first part and 3 to 476 in the other parts.
