Count mulitiple critera in a date range.

Hello I am new to excel but trying things that are above my knowledge level hope someone can help.


I am working in a workbook with the data on one tab (Exported Data) and the formulas on another (Release 2.4)
I am trying to count all defects for a specific team (Identified by "Release 2.4'!I126" in the below formula) that are not closed ('Exported Data'!G:G,"<>Closed",) That are between a defined date range (SUMPRODUCT(('Exported Data'!M:M<=--"22-Aug-2012")*('Exported Data'!M:M>--"15-Aug-2012"))


=SUMPRODUCT(('Exported Data'!M:M<=--"22-Aug-2012")*('Exported Data'!M:M>--"15-Aug-2012")) --COUNTIFS('Exported Data'!E:E,'Release 2.4'!I126,'Exported Data'!G:G,"<>Closed")


I am getting an answer of 373 and the right answer is 11
