Good afternoon
I'm sure as always there is a simple solution but thank you everyone in advance.
I am trying to conditionally format the background colour of each row based on the entry of each row within the table in column D, however not every column between e and AS would need a colour as it is only the column that contains an item to be used that needs a colour adding. easier to see in the attached file basically i would like to be able to auto background fill colour the rows within the table from 8 to 44 based on the colour coding in the table from row 100.
There are 9 possible entries to column d and each has its own colour criteria again as per the second table from row 100 onwards (hope this is making sense)
The idea is that when an entry in column d(type) (a,b,c etc) is put in column d that row will auto fill highlighting the columns that should be used(based on the coloured table from row 100)) it needs to be the background colour as a number will still need to be inputted into the highlighted cell.
conditional formattin only allows 3 variables unless you write a macro which i have never done, if function allows 7 variables and so i'm a little stumped as how to do what i am after achieving.
all who look thank you for taking the time to view and all who help your help is greatly appreciated.
I am also looking at a time auto filling in the time column as soon as an entry is put in column d but i will post a seperate thread for that.
Kind regards
Damion
