    Hello,

I assume you want to totalize each row?
If it's the case you may try with this formula:

    Re: Finding the total collection

thankyou very much..you are almost there...but what i actually need is something like this:
    1 month- 10% of 1000
    2nd month- 20% of 1000 + previous month amount
    3rd month- 30% of 1000+previous month amount...etc...etc
i want to enter the formula in first cell in total collections and drag the result for the rest of the cells.

i really appreciate your time and will be thankfull if you can find me a solution.

    Re: Finding the total collection

A sample sheet like that should have sample answers inserted, too, so we know immediately if the formulas we consider are giving all the expected results. More than one sample set might be useful if there are variations to consider. Please update your sample workbook.

    maybe this??

    Book1 (11).xlsx

otherwise as JBeaucaire stated a sample output is better needed here.

???? Really just plain luck though,
you don't have sample output's but next time you could consider giving some to immediately receive a good solution i noticed this post was two days ago.

    Your welcome anytime.

Would still like to see this done. Multiple examples of full results will allow contributors know immediately if they have the right answer. No answers, or only one, often just leads to back and forth and back and forth.
