Conditional Formatting - Blank cell fill problem....

    Hi,

When i conditional format column C and i want the rules:

    0% to 49% fill Red
    50% to 90% fill Amber
    91% to 100% fill Green

All cells below that are blank in this column fill Red as it uses the zero. How can i stop this from filling Red?

    Thanks in advance.
    Office 2010 user.

    In conditional formatting use
    Navigation:
new rule->Format only cells that contains->In first tab you will find tab cell value.
from drop down select BLANKS and set format to fill with white.
    Hope it will help

This does not work, i have put the cond format in blanks are no fill, then put in that between 0 to 20 are to be Red and it fills all blanks Red.

    Hi,

What Tanya is saying works for me. I had a look at your rules and you need to select, white etc.

I know it starts off as showing blank when you open the cond format, but you need to select white etc

P.S - When you need to expand the columns, just change the range to suit
