Formula to assign a word to each number?

Hello!

Anyone know of a formula where I can take a number from an adjacent cell and have it autofill a word?

I have the numbers .4, .6, .8, 1, 1.2, 1.4, 1.6, 1.8 and 2. For each of these that appear in collumn F, I want it to autofill a correspoonding text (#E6FFE6, #CCFFCC, #99FF99, #66FF66, #00FF00, #00B200, #008000, #004C00, #001A00) into collumn G.

Any suggestions??

set up a table and then use a combination of those functions

=lookup(F1,{0.4,0.6,0.8,1,1.2,1.4,1.6,1.8,2},{"#E6FFE6","#CCFFCC","#99FF99","#66FF66","#00FF00","#00B200","#008000","#004C00","#001A00"})

that will work but surely its easier to set up a table

Based on your last post it seems that you are satisfied with the solution(s) you've received but you haven't marked your thread as SOLVED.
