Question Conditional formatting if in range of values: apply to column

    Hello
I attach a xlsx file for some help.
Go to cell E2. I want that the color of the cell becomes white if the value n.1 is between Item 1 minimum and maximum (see values in blue table).
Ok I can use conditional formatting and it's simple for a single cell.
Now I want to apply the formatting to the other cells (related to the other items) of the green table. How can I do (without repeating the passages 100 times ?) ?

    thanks a lot

Re: Conditional formatting if in range of values: apply to column

To have it applied to multiple cells make the formulae without an absolute reference i.e. $A$1:$A2 When completing an auto fill down for the format this will copy the Conditional format down and won't be stuck to a perticular cell as is the standard Conditional Format.

Re: Conditional formatting if in range of values: apply to column

I did this by deleting the "$" before both the column and row (ie: $A$2 becomes A2) in the conditional format formula. This prevents the conditional format from being tied to a single cell.

    Hello, dprobst,
I applied your tip and it worked exactly as I needed.
    Thanks.
