please help me with this conversion formula!

Hi there,

I have this conversion rate:

2/6 x 100 = 33% - which is 2 sales/6 clicks = 33% conversion rate

How would I devise a formula that worked backwards i.e. if I enter 33% into a cell, I want it to work backwards and figure out that means 2 sales. It's driving me mad please help! Any help would be very much appreciated.

Cheers,
Michelle

try this...

=33%/23/100*6
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools

Whoops... forgot to add, the percentage will be located at cell D8. So I'll type in the % at D8 (33% or other) and have the formula calculated to another cell. Hope that makes sense.

Thanks FDibbins,

Ahhh... 33%/100x6 gives me the right answer. How do I enter that into excel if I want to change 33% to the cell D8, i.e. D8/100x6? Sorry for my dumb question, I'm NOT a big excel user! Also, is there a way to make excel round the number to the nearest whole number as I don't want decimals. Many thanks!

Cheers,
Michelle
