Creating a dynamic chart with Offset function where data grows across columns

I am trying to take data from one sheet laid out across columns that grow as the monthly data is updated and create a chart that dynamically updates. i have tried to use the offset function to create a named range and then use that named range in the data series of the chart. The offset function seems to be correct (tested using F9), but when i go to the chart and use the named range in the series values box i get an error stating the formula contains one or more invalid references. any thoughts?
