Need to make a 3 way match in excel

Help! I've tried several formulas, but cannot come up with a solution.

I have 5 columns of auto info:
MANUFACTURER MAKE MODEL PRICE CODE KEY CODE

I need a formula in cell D2 (highlighted in yellow) that will give me the price code by entering the first three columns data.
see attached spreadsheet.

Enter this formula with Ctrl + Shift + Enter keys together

=INDEX($D$5:$D$980,MATCH(A2&B2&C2,$A$5:$A$980&$B$5:$B$980&$C$5:$C$980,0),0)

Try..

=(INDEX($E$5:$E$985,MATCH(A2&B2&C2,A5:A985&B5:B985&C5:C985,0)))

Confirm with Ctrl+Shift+Enter and not just Enter
Life's a spreadsheet, Excel!

Re: Need to make a 3 way match in excel

i added a helper columnb in F to concatenate the 1st 3 colums =A5&B5&C5, copied down.

then i used this formula to find the vehicle type...
=INDEX($D$5:$F$980,MATCH(A2&B2&C2,F5:F980,0),1)
presumably when you enter "year" you will also be entering data such as 1998 AND UP?

let me know if this gives you what you need?
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
