    Creating a grade average for schoolwork completed

    Thanks for reading. I am trying to show a grade average throughout the year for students which automatically adjusts as new tests or grades are entered throughout the year. So for example, there are 10 data points that determine a grade, and each of those data points will be entered at different times throughout the school year. I want the average grade to always represent the data points that have been entered and automatically account for the fact that the rest of the data points will not be counted until they are entered later in the school year. I am using Excel 2010. Thanks again.

    The AVERAGE function ignores blank cells and text, so just enter away.
