Summary of Totals per Amount, but Non Specific

Hey all:

I have searched the forum to no end (for over 4 hours) , so please don't yell at me. I have no idea how to even phrase what I want. (I can point and grunt, but no words)

If I have the following, how in the heck do I write a formula? This is a spreadsheet that imports the information I scan in from a customer. If I could get this to work, it would be a one stop shop for me, summarizing, executing the correct verbiage for me to paste into an invoice, cross checking, and a set of cells I can paste into a new doc to create a CSV table I would be able to export into my accounting program to cut checks. OMG Perfect.

Super Noob here, BTW. I thought Excel was a stuffy program that you avoided in college because it could not correct term papers. I love it now.

I am SO stuck. This is what I have. I just want it to look at the series of cells, figure out which ones are duplicates, list them highest to lowest and then in the next column list how many occurrences of each there are.

If I could use a formula that took the outcome and plugged it into a sentence like =FORMULA (DISPLAY CELL# of how many occurrences), " Workers @ " DISPLAY OTHER CELL# of value " Hours") so the for the final display would look like
___ Workers @ _____ Hours


THAT would be awesome.

This is just one project I have. I have another project with hundred of guys that could save me SO much time if I could figure out what array and bin and all that crap really meant.

Thank you, you geniuses. You guys are amazing. One day I can be smart like you. Or at least understand what the heck a circular reference is.
