I am new to the forum as have found myself using lots more excel to help all the guys in the dept i work in
I work for a manufacturing company and am looking to create a system of product codes using excel.
I am trying to make an automated product code generator in excel - which will be based on a multiple choice option by the administrator.
The code will be made up of different abbriviations which will mean different things to the machinist when read - with full key
I would like to be able to list the abbriviations - to which the guys can select the one they require and it can automatically be put into the code
or a different cell in the correct order ? to then create the desccription of what has to be made !
any one have any suggestions or formulas that would help me with this.
