Returning total amount earned in a month by day of the week

I'm sure this is more simple than I think it is..

How do I tell excel to give me the total amount of $$$ earned by day of the week?

ex. my range would be by month, so ~30 days and I would have a grid on the right that says "Sunday: (total sum of all Sunday amounts)", etc)

definitely was more simple than i was making it out to be, must be time for bed: =SUMIF(B:B,G2,C:C) / B=days of the week, G=day, C=amounts
