Count days for specific year falling within in multi-year date range

In the date range March 19th 2011 through March 18th 2015, what function can I use to count the number of days contained within this range for year 2015 only?

    Possibly:

    =MAX(0,MIN(B1,DATE(2015,12,31))-MAX(A1,DATE(2015,1,1))+1)

where A1 and B1 contain start/end dates... in case none are in 2015, you will get 0 and if A1 is less than Jan 1, 2015 and B1 is greater than Dec 31, 2015, you would get 365
Where there is a will there are many ways.
