Hi,
I'm sure this is simple enough but I can't find hide nor hair of a similar problem on the internet.
I want to create a list of dates in column A that shows only Thursdays and Fridays.
Thanks!
Hi,

If A1 is your start date use in A2
=A1+IF(WEEKDAY(A1)=5,1,IF(WEEKDAY(A1)=6,6,5-WEEKDAY(A1)))

Alternative A)
1) In cells A1 to A4 type in the dates of two consecutive thursdays and fridays, for example:
11.10.2012
12.10.2012
18.10.2012
19.10.2012
2) Format the cells to display days by Ctrl + 1 and then type dddd in custom formats. It should now look like this:
thursday
friday
thursday
friday
3) Select the four cells, grab the lower right corner and pull down as far as you want.
A column next to it with just A1=B1 and formatted to normal date is a good idea to check that the dates look ok.
Alternative B)
1) just type "Date" in cell A1 and todays date in cell A2.
2) Grab the lower right handle of cell A2 and fill down as far as you want.
3) Type "weekday" in cell B1 and =WEEKDAY(A2) in cell B2 and fill down.
4) Add autofilter to the list and filter for the days you don't want. Select the unwanted rows and delete them. Remove autofilter.
