    This is a hard one- What if Date and Charactor Count intergrated?

    I can not figure this out so am calling on the experts. Quite simple i am trying to use this formula:

    =SUM(LEN(B1:B129085)-LEN(SUBSTITUTE(UPPER(B1:B129085),"I",""))) (as an array currently)

    However i then also want to use some form of data range filter.

    so ultimately the question would be:

    =COUNT all the letters "I" if they fall in the data period of 01/09/2012-07/09/2012 in cell B2

    Is this possible?

    assumes dates in column A and upper and lower date limit is in J3 and upper date limit is in J4

    =SUMPRODUCT((A1:A129085>=J3)*(A1:A129085<=J4)*(LEN(B1:B129085)-LEN(SUBSTITUTE(UPPER(B1:B129085),"I",""))))
