    Highlight and count duplicate rows

I have 2 columns of data, for example…

    COLUMN 1 COLUMN 2

    EN-2 3K7*
    EN-5 4K7
    EN-6 5K7
    EN-2 3K7*
    EN-3 3K7
    EN-3 3K7
    EN-3 5K7
    EN-4 4K7
    EN-5 3K7
    EN-2 4K7

As indicated above (rows EN-2 3K7), I would like to know of a formula that would highlight and count duplicate entries where the data is the same across both columns.

    Thanks

Re: Highlight and count duplicate rows

I assume that your first row is having column headers and try the below formula in C2 cell

    Formula: copy to clipboard

Drag the C2 cell formula to the remaining cells of Column C.

Use the below one for Conditional Formatting

    Formula: copy to clipboard

    Hope that helps!

Thanks for your help the first formula worked

Can you explain how to apply the second formula for conditional formatting? I have just changed to excel 2010.
    Thanks again
