    Conditional Formatting with Dates

    Hi
I need help with the following please:

1 have 2 columns, A (Date first Recorded) and B (Date last Recorded).
32 rows, where data can be entered.
I would like to set up conditional formatting in the cells in column B.
I would like flag icons if the difference in days between column A & B are a certain amount, e.g. less than 30 = yellow, more than 60 = red.
I've tried various formulas, incld DatedIF, etc. When i apply this to the formatting rules 'creator' nothing happens? no flag appears!
I've made sure that the formula works in a different cell.

    Will appreciate any help.
    Tx!

In conditional format rules try this.

    =ABS($A1-$B1)>30

    Hi,

I don't know about flag icons, but you can color a cell to yellow or red. Go to the first value of column B. Click conditional formatting >> new rule. Then go to "use a formula to determine which cells to format" and to the formula field type something like: (B1-A1) < 30 and set fill format to yellow by clicking "format". Click ok, and copy down the already formatted cell ("fill formatting only"). You can add more rules the same way.

    Hope this helps.
